Through the years, The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (formerly the Weston State Hospital) has been a social
and economic contributor to the local community. Continuing in that tradition, curre ntly the front lawn is used
for community youth events and we host other events in various locations of the property.
From Fall Festivals to Easter Egg hunts, we look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event.

Father's Day
We are excited to welcome back the Summer Knights Cruzin Car Show for Father’s Day. Bring Dad out to appreciate classic cars from across the decades. Annually over 200 cars display an impressive span automotive history throughout the last century. Dads will also get a $10.00 discount on admission for a four floor historic tour. |

Flea Market 08/04 - 08/06
TALA will be holding a Flea Market on the Asylum lawn in conjunction with WV’s LARGEST YARD SALE. Come out to the Asylum because you will never know what you'll find! Vendor pay only $30 per 10 x 10 spot. We will need your name, number of spaces needed and a general description of what you will be selling!
Space is first come first serve on Friday morning.

$25 for vendors not registered in advance.
Tables and tents are not included. Your fee includes three full days from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. |

Asylum After Dark (October)
Join us for Asylum After Dark. Our celebration of all things spooky. During the month of October, we have what you need. Award-winning Haunted House, 3 new Flashlight tours of the main building, paranormal tours, and ghost hunts. Plus special events: HearseMania, Zombie Paintball ride and the Asylum Ball.

Hearse Mania (October)
Halloween themed event celebrating the customization, preservation, and restoration of all Professional Cars. In addition to being one of the largest Professional Car shows on the East Coast, Hearsemania also features artists and vendors of handcrafted items with horror, creepy, paranormal, Cryptid and oddity themes. Food vendors, live DJ, casket Basket raffle, 50/50, costume contest and more. Welcome to our Mania!

Fall Festival (October)
We'll be continuing the tradition of great family fun for all ages. We have a variety of vendors offering an assortment of food, crafts, ect. Karaoke, talent competitions, costume contests, children's games, and more.
Opportunities to explore the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum also will be offered include Heritage, Paranormal, Zombie Paintball, Flashlight Tours and our Haunted House.

Flashlight Tours (October)
During the special events at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum we also offer Flashlight tours of the historic Kirkbride building and the Medical Center! Flashlight tours are 30 minute half historic and half paranormal tours.
Tickets are first come first serve and are available on site only.

As our Haunted House grows, we continue to stretch the limits of our

Zombie Paintball (October)
Mysterious plane crash. Strange chemical cargo. reanimated dead clawing their way to the surface. Join the fun this October. Ride is weather dependant. Tickets go on sale at 6:00 pm Friday's and Saturdays.
$20.00 per person + tax includes 100 paintballs. Additional paintballs are available during your ride for just $5.00. Video |

Our annual costume contest, you are not required to wear a costume in
order to gain admission, although, due to local laws, clothing is required.
Cash Prizes awarded. Entertainment provided by live bands and a DJ.
